Chann Nyein Kyaw was born in 1959 in Myanmar, and began studying
under the master U Khin Maung in Mandalay in 1991.
His art has been featured in several Myanmar and overseas
exhibitions, and his more recent abstract paintings are in
several private international collections. One
of his paintings was chosen for the finalist’s exhibition
for the 2004 Myanmar Contemporary Art Awards in Yangon, and
subsequently was shown at the well-attended Myanmar Contemporary
Art Exhibition in HongKong.
His style is acrylic on canvas or oil on canvas with paper
texture, and his paintings, many depicting and entitled the ’Beauty
of Myanmar’ are in vivid colours, blended into a unique
and contemporary style.
